After 8/8 you cannot make any changes to your product. That means any changes. For those in the liquid market that are doing significant volume you must be sure that your lab, or the one you use, is set to upgrade to new requirements. Problem is, we don’t know exactly what those may be. So most are going to the extreme and are making pharmaceutical grade labs.

The other shoe has fallen. The FDA has spoken and it means…what? The end of the world as we know it? Business as usual? Do we even know?

This interview with attorney Phil Daman, a nationally recognized FDA legal authority, covers what these new regulations say and what they don’t say.

It’s about Freedom. It’s about Choice. “It’s really about standing up for yourself! No one wants to be bullied and there has to be a time when we stand up and punch back.” That quote from Alex Clark, Legislative Coordinator with CASAA, sums it all up.

I had to totally rewrite today’s show since the new deeming regulation unfolded with little notice. The FDA released them May 5, so at least we now know the outcome. No more speculating, no more wondering.

Our first interview is with Alex Clark, legislative director with CASAA. Our topic of conversation was about state’s taking their own initiative and instituting laws in lieu of the FDA. We then lead into the new deeming regulations.

It’s like “Speed Dating” for the vape industry and Vape Shop Events is the one show you may never attend or even be invited to. They bring together just two dozen buyers and two dozen sellers and they all spend two days meeting and developing relationships. The net result? BUSINESS happens. And that has been missing from the industry for a long time.

We interviewed Mike Sessoms, the founder, who offers insight into the program and why you should attend if you are a serious player in the vape space.

Meanwhile: Still…no word from the FDA. We all wait, and wait, and wait. As soon as we know, we’ll share it here and bring you interviews from many that can offer their insight.

This show includes an interview with one of the largest contract manufacturers of e-liquids in the country. We discuss future regulations and how they compare to pharmacy guidelines. We will see more changes in THIS sector than any other one over the next two years.

His name is Nick Green, but you may know him by his nickname “Grimm.” He’s been part of our VAPE U classes and we interviewed him last year, which I referenced in our call if you’d like to check out show #43.

What started as a brief 20-minute call went much longer and we actually broke up our conversation into two parts. Today is part I. So with that as my intro, let’s rock!
